Working in low-temperature conditions, the engine of the mechanical equipment is difficult to start, the driving ability is reduced, the wear and tear of the machine parts is increased, and even damage caused by freezing occurs. The following are the precautions for the use of backhoe loaders in the cold season and low temperature areas.
Point 1: Starting
In winter, the backhoe loader often encounters trouble when starting, and is prone to misfiring. And the following points can be effectively avoided:
1.Choose a battery with high cold start current and try to keep the battery fully charged.
2.Choose the right diesel fuel, for example, in the environment of minus ten degrees Celsius will have to choose -35 diesel fuel, otherwise the diesel fuel will be waxed and lose liquidity. The same is true for the choice of engine oil, according to the actual temperature in time to replace the oil.
3.In extremely cold environments (below -30 degrees), to be installed in advance of the cold start assistive devices, can effectively solve the problem of ultra-low temperatures under the difficult problem of starting.
Avoid the following two operations when it is difficult to start:
1.Build an open fire to heat the engine block. Even keeping a certain distance will not work. Because there are a lot of exposed pipelines on the excavator, these pipelines will inevitably be stuck with leaking oil, encountering high-temperature open flames have the potential risk of starting a fire and burning the equipment.
2.Put the coolant out and heat it up before pouring it back in. In this case, if the temperature of the heated coolant is too high and the temperature of the machine is too low, the huge temperature difference may cause partial cracking of the cylinder block, and such damage is difficult to repair. If you have to do this, be sure to control the temperature.
Point 2: Warm up
After starting the backhoe loader, there should be a warm-up phase, that is, in the engine water temperature and hydraulic oil temperature rises to 50 degrees before the first idling for a period of time, and then slow, light operation, so that the equipment smoothly and smoothly "into the state", and then start normal operation.
In addition, the construction site is prone to snow and ice in winter, so try to avoid excessive action in the operation, so as to avoid skidding danger.
Point 3: maintenance
Backhoe loader machine maintenance, the most common is to change the oil. In winter, the engine must be warmed up before changing the oil, otherwise the oil will be very sticky in the cooling state, put not clean, and the bottom of the oil tank precipitation of iron filings and other dirt is not easy to be brought out.
Point 4: storage
In winter, if the backhoe loader machine is not used for a long time, it should be well protected from the cold. If conditions permit, you can give the equipment engine covered with thermal curtains or thermal insulation jacket and other cold "clothing", if necessary, but also need to park the equipment in the garage, and in front of the radiator with cardboard to block the cold wind, to protect the equipment.
To check the freezing point of the coolant used, empty the coolant in the engine if necessary, in order to prevent freezing and icing in the body, expanding and cracking the body, resulting in equipment damage.
If not in use for a long time, the battery should be disassembled and stored indoors.
